藝穗會的前身是貓的基地。當年創辦人Benny Chia進駐舊牛奶公司倉庫南座時，發現這棟殘舊的建築物裡有很多貓，老鼠們一直都很害怕踏足這裡，直到今天如是。

The building now housing Fringe Club used to be a base of cats. When Benny, founder of Fringe Club, first stepped into the South Block of old Dairy Farm Central Depot, there were a lot of cats inhabited inside the vacant building. We guess that’s why the building has been immune from rats ever since then.
